Jennifer Hanson, Director Target.com Guest Services and GiftCard Operations:
Jennifer was born in Ohio, moved to Minnesota during childhood, where completed her education. She graduated with a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College (private liberal arts college in St. Peter, MN.) Post-college Jennifer’s first job was with Macy’s – where she helped to open the Mall of America location. Though she moved from MN to Michigan and back, and held a few other jobs in finance and operations – the “retail bug” kept calling her. She joined Dayton-Hudson (Target) in 1996, as a Credit and Collections Supervisor – from this entry point she has moved into several credit and retail related operations roles. She has been able to create and lead large service center teams across Target Corporation – from support services like QA and WFM to Guest Relations and Gift Registry. In 2010, she was asked to lead the business team working to operationally design the contact center environment that would support the re-launch of Target.com. Jennifer currently leads the service teams for Target.com – mobile, web, social . When asked what her leadership style is – she often shares a quote from –Dwight D. Eisenhower "A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done."
